- The CONSOLE BOOST earned by playing the mobile game is stored in the registered customer's EA account. Once the players apply the CONSOLE BOOST to their Xbox 360 or PLAYSTATION 3 accounts they see an immediate increase in the skill levels of their athletes.
- The value of the CONSOLE BOOST upload varies depending on the skill level played on the mobile game (Amateur, Pro or Legend) and how well the user completes the series of challenges.
- Challenges can be played on any of the courses in Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09 mobile and there are varying requirements to complete the series of challenges

SWING
Aim your shot in AIM MODE by pressing the AIM MODE soft key. Use the D-pad or number keys to adjust your target. Taking wind, lie and power into account, adjust your swing to achieve the desired distance. To take the shot, press the SHOT MODE soft key to open the third-person Shot View.
In the SHOT MODE, press the left and right keys to rotate in the direction you want to shoot the ball. Hold the "OK" key to begin your backswing and release it to continue with your foreswing. You can adjust your backswing/follow-through using the "7" and "3" keys to hit a Draw, and the "9" and "1" keys to hit a Fade. Using the directional keys will add spin to a ball in mid-flight.
PUTTING
Adjust your target in AIM MODE using the D-pad or number keys, taking into account the on-screen putting grid. The grid will display inclines in the green as different colors, ranging from Red to Green. There will also be slope indicators which will move along the grid down the slope.
GAME SCREEN
The Heads Up Display (HUD) on the Game screen provides:
- Wind - Wind direction and speed.
- Hole - Current hole number.
- Par - Par for current hole.
- Shot - Number shots golfer has taken.
- PIN - Distance of ball to PIN in a straight line (does not calculate distance around obstacles).
- Club - Selected club and range of club.
- Lie - Image of type of lie (sand, rough, fairway, etc.) Please note that the lie indicator also acts as the spin meter while the ball is in flight.
VIEWS
The Game view has multiple views:
- AIM MODE - Overhead view of course allowing you to move the cursor to aim your shot.
- SHOT MODE - Third-person view behind your golfer. Also displays a mini map (scaled down overhead view of hole) to aid in aiming your shot.
- Ball in Flight - Camera follows ball trajectory after shot is taken.
- Green Shot View - Third-person view behind your golfer aiding you in aiming and executing your putt.
- Hole Close-Up -Camera auto-cuts to a close-up of the hole as the put approaches.

Saving/Loading
Games are auto saved upon exiting the application. You may also save the game in the pause menu. A saved game maybe resumed from the main menu.

Q. How does stats boosting work?
A. Completing the Challenge Mode on various difficulties will allow you to boost your player stats on the console version of Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09. Complete the challenges on higher difficulties to gain a higher boost! Please note this feature is not available on all devices.
Q. I'm having trouble with a specific challenge. What can I do?
A. Practice makes perfect! Use the Practice mode to refine your skills and improve on your weaknesses.
Q. How can I avoid landing in water hazards or the rough?
A. Keep a sharp eye on the wind direction in relation to where you are when swinging. Using AIM MODE to your advantage will improve your accuracy and keep you out of hazards.
Q. How can I improve my putting accuracy?
A. Read the green by paying close attention to slope variations and slope indicator speeds. Use the natural slope of the green to direct your putt into the hole.
