A. Yes. You need a network connection to play Need For Speed: Most Wanted. Your phone will also be downloading video clips that tell the storyline of the game.
Q. What different cars can I unlock in the game?
A. There are 16 unlockable cars in the game. These are:
- BMW M3 GTR
- Carrera GT
- Mazda RX7
- Dodge Viper SRT10
- Corvette C6
- Pontiac GTO
- Cobalt SS
- Ford Mustang GT
- Mitsubishi EVO 8
- Cadillac CTS
- Mitsubishi Eclipse
- Mazda RX-8
- Toyota Supra
- Lexus LS 300
- Golf GTI
Q. How do I unlock the cars in the game?
A. Each of the 15 Blacklist members that you race against has a car that you earn by beating them in a race for their pink slip. Once you've beaten a Blacklist member, you unlock their car for all future races and quick races.
Q. How does the customization work? How will it affect my car?
A. You may customize your car by going to the body shop or the performance shop where you can buy upgrades that affect your car's speed, handling and overall effectiveness. It is up to you to figure out which set ups are the best for each car. As you earn more money, you can afford better items in the shop.
Q. When I switch cars, what happens to all of the money I spent on customization?
A. When you switch up cars in the safe house, all of the money you've earned gets placed back into your account so you can customize the new car as well as you customized the previous car. You do not lose any value by switching to a new vehicle.
Q. How do I save my position in the game?
A. Your progress is saved automatically at the end of each race. Your progression through the Blacklist 15 and all unlocked vehicles are saved within the memory of your phone.
Q. What are the game modes and race types in Need For Speed: Most Wanted?
A. There are 2 race modes: career mode and quick race. In both modes, there are three types of races: Outrun, Speed Camera and Boss Outrun. Outrun pits you against the clock to complete a course in a set amount of time. During the Outrun race, you will encounter police vehicles and civilian vehicles that will impede your progress towards your goal. Speed camera races include a series of cameras throughout the course that average your overall speed during the race. You must average higher than a set limit to pass the challenge. The Boss Outrun race type pits you against a specific vehicle, not a set course, where winner takes all.
Q. How many tracks and locations are in the game?
A. There are 5 distinct districts covering 6 distinct environments throughout he game.
Q. How can I switch locations/tracks during the game?
A. Navigate through the menus (shops, races, locations) to choose between races (there are 90 to choose from) and locations (there are 5 to choose from). Press the right soft key or the OK key to select a race or location. You may be prompted to download the new course (ex: "Would you like to move to Graypoint? This requires a download. No/Yes"). If you confirm the download, your phone will connect up to the server and get the new location.
Q. How do I see my high scores and speed records?
A. Your achievements are all saved into a "Rap Sheet" that is viewable from the main menu of the game.
Q. How do I use the nitrous-oxide boost during the race?
A. First, you have to purchase the nitrous-oxide as a customization to your vehicle from the performance shop. If your car is outfitted with this customization, you can press the "#", "0", or "*" keys during the race to activate the nitrous-oxide boost. You'll notice a blue glow at the exhaust when the boost is activated.
Q. How do I use the EA Trax music? Can I get more EA Trax music?
A. The EA Trax music is available via the main menu of the game and will play through your phone. To actually purchase EA Trax music, you can purchase EA Trax through iTunes.
