How to play

Starting the Game

1. Highlight the "THE GAME OF LIFE" icon in your phone's Game Menu.
2. Press the "OK" button.
3. Select to play with the sound on or off. Sound can also be turned on/off in the Options Menu.
4. After splash screens, the game's Main Menu will appear.

From the Main Menu, select New Game or Continue Game and let THE GAME OF LIFE fun begin!

Object of the Game:
The object of THE GAME OF LIFE is to be the wealthiest player at the end of the game. You acquire wealth by getting a job, investing in stocks, and making good choices on the path of life.

Game Rules
SPINNING AND MOVING - During your game turn or a Spin to Win event, a power bar which quickly fills and empties will appear. To spin the wheel, press "OK" when the power bar is filled to your desired point. The left end of the power bar represents 1 turn of the movement wheel, and the right end represents 2 turns. The number the wheel is currently resting on is displayed in a pop-up window. If you want to try and spin that number again, press "OK" when the power bar is filled to the far left or right. If you want to spin a number a small bit past the currently displayed number, let the power bar fill just a little and press "OK." If you want to spin a number well beyond the currently displayed number, let the power bar fill up before pressing "OK."

For movement purposes, the number you spin determines the number of spaces you move your car. During Spin to Win events, the number you spin determines whether you win or lose money.

Prior to spinning the wheel to determine your movement, look ahead on the board to try and determine the best space to land on. To do this, simply press the "#" key to highlight the space in front of your car. A description for this space will then appear on the screen. Continue pressing the "#" key to highlight additional spaces ahead on the board. You can look up to 10 spaces ahead on the board. Press the "*" key to move backward on the board.

While looking at spaces ahead on the board, press the "OK" key at any time to spin the wheel and determine your movement.

LIFE TILES - You gain Life Tiles by landing on Life spaces. Each tile is worth a secret amount of money, ranging from $10,000 to $50,000. The value of your Life Tile will be disclosed at the end of the game after all players have retired.

There are 25 Life Tiles in the game. Twenty two are placed in a Draw Pile and three are placed in Millionaire Estates. If you land on a Life Space but no Life Tiles remain in the Draw Pile, you're allowed to steal a Life Tile from another player, including from players who've retired to Millionaire Estates. However, you cannot steal Life Tiles from players who've retired to Countryside Acres.

SHARE THE WEALTH CARDS - Share the Wealth Cards provide players with certain game benefits when used. You start the game with three Share the Wealth Cards, with the opportunity to acquire more during play.

To view your Share the Wealth cards, press the left soft key and select yourself from the player list. Use the D-pad to cycle to the screen displaying your Share the Wealth Cards.

There are different types of Share the Wealth Cards. Some cards allow you to play extra numbers when landing on a Spin to Win space. Other cards allow you to steal money from other players, or prevent them from stealing from you. Whenever an appropriate situation arises for you to play a Share the Wealth Card, the game will ask if you wish to do so.

Using your Share the Wealth Cards at strategic moments could be the key to retiring with the most money and winning the game!

RETIREMENT - When you land on the last space of the game board, you will be given the choice of retiring to Millionaire Estates or Countryside Acres.

The 1st player to retire to Millionaire Estates receives the highest value Life Tile of the three tiles placed there. The 2nd player to retire to Millionaire Estates receives the second highest value tile, and the 3rd player receives the last tile.

Players who retire to Millionaire Estates can have their Life Tiles stolen by other players when the game's Life Tile bank runs out.

Players who retire to Countryside Acres receive no extra Life Tiles, but also cannot have their Life Tiles stolen by other players.

When a player retires, they add their cash plus their house value and $10,000 per child to calculate their bank total. Once all players have retired, each player's Life Tile values are revealed to determine their final total.

The player that retires with the most money wins the game.

Saving/Loading
Game progress is automatically saved. To load, select "Continue Game" from the Main Menu.

Tips and Hints

• Invest Early. If you can, buy a Long Term Investment early in the game. This will give you more spins of the wheel where you have a chance to win money.
• Keep track of your opponent's Life Tiles. The player with the most Life Tiles potentially has the most money. Take that player's Life Tiles to try and knock them out of 1st place.
• Use the Spin power bar wisely. Looking ahead on the board to identify which space would be best to land on and which to avoid, then using the power bar to maximize your chance of landing on or avoiding spaces, will increase your profits.

FAQ

Q. How many players can participate in a game?
A. A maximum of four players. In single player mode, you can face up to three AI players. In Pass 'n Play (multi-player) mode, up to four players can compete.

A. The player that retires with the most money wins the game.
