NBA LIVE 07 Goes Mobile

EA SPORTS™ NBA LIVE 07 for mobile phones hit the courts in November in November with its first-ever launch party at the NBA Store in New York City. Houston Rockets forward Tracy McGrady, San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker, and New York Knicks guard Nate Robinson were on hand to demonstrate the new EA SPORTS basketball video game on the mobile platform.

More than 500 fans packed the NBA retail store on 5th Aveenue, hoping to be one of the first to play NBA LIVE 07 on Verizon, Cingular, and Sprint mobile phones. The event was highlighted by 30 raffle winners who were awarded the chance to challenge McGrady, Parker, and Robinson one-on-one in Play Now mode.

“To have last season’s slam dunk champion Nate Robinson, two-time NBA champion Tony Parker, and NBA All-Star Tracy McGrady, our cover athlete, all here to celebrate this event with us was truly special,” said Tim Mulligan, Senior Brand Manager for EA SPORTS Mobile. “Fans were able to meet the players, demo the game, and see what the excitement was all about. A lucky few even got to come up and test their skills against the NBA stars. The day was a great success.”

NBA LIVE 07 for mobile features all 30 NBA teams, more than 400 players, textured courts and logos, and is available on major wireless carriers throughout North America. Legendary broadcaster Marv Albert calls the action, providing expert insight and play-by-play commentary.

“Whether you’re at home or on the road there’s so much this game offers,” said Mulligan. “Basketball fans can tip off against rival teams in an exhibition game or dig deep and make a run for the championship in Season mode. There’s something for every type of basketball fan.”

Hundreds of animations bring every court movement to life, delivering realistic shooting, rebounding, and spectacular dunking to your mobile phone. Plus, innovative features designed specifically for mobile gameplay allow you to zoom in and slow down the action for precision passing on the mobile screen.
